The lifeblood of every camp is its volunteers and Center Lake is no different. The ministry of CLBC is enhanced by those who come and give of their time and skills. Continue to check back on this website for specific dates when we have scheduled workdays. If those dates don’t fit your schedule, know that there are projects to be done every day of the year. If you bring your heart and special abilities, we will provide housing, food and a list of projects. A few of the needs include kitchen, cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, raking, landscaping, painting, and summer Health Officers. Don’t see anything on this list that matches your passion? Feel free to reachout! We'd love to talk to you about future opportunities.
There are many areas of opportunity to volunteer and
serve at CLBC!
Most springs we host different overnight opportunities
for Volunteers to come work together and get lots of
projects/things done around camp. These events
include Serve Week and the Spring Clean Weekend.
The first weekend in December in cooperation with the
local churches we invite the community to our camp
for a Live Nativity. This event is made possible
because of the 70+ volunteers who come and help.
Volunteer opportunities include: cookie baking,
greeting, parking, being characters in the nativity, food service and more. Follow us on Facebook to stay updated on Follow the Star volunteer opportunities. Follow the Star is a great way for youth groups to volunteer!
Throughout the year different volunteers come as needed to work on specific projects. Kitchen, housekeeping, grounds, building projects, advancement projects, office, and programming are just some of the areas volunteers serve.
One great need we have every summer is for Volunteer Health Officers. These volunteers live at camp and along with the camp leadership, see to the medical needs of our campers. Health Officers are required for our licensing and are good practice, allowing us to care for our campers to the best of our ability.
